 Verificata Tour in costiera Umberto was a fantastic driver on the Amalfi Coast. He took us on a tour of Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello, and explained everything. Umberto was very kind and professional, and I recommend him to anyone who wants to take a trip to the Amalfi Coast or needs a transfer. The ride was also comfortable in his van.

 Verificata Easy to be arrange and excellent service. Giuseppe was our driver and was very good and knowledgeable. We were collected on time from our cruise ship and taken to Herculaneum. The drive was pleasant and Giuseppe provided us with great information en route. At arrival we were met by Nina who was an excellent guide on the tour . As we were tight for time she covered the key areas in time allowed. Giuseppe was waiting for us at correct time to return to the ship.

 Verificata Half day tour with Discovery We hired Umberto as our private driver. We got off the ship at least 15 minutes before everyone else and he whisked us away well ahead of the crowds maximizing our one day excursion in port to Paestum. Awaiting us was a knowledgeable guide Lucia at the sights. After a 2.5 hour tour, Umberto recommended a stop for a cheese tasting at a modern place. We tried the freshest mozzarella ricotta prosciutto focaccia cannolis and almond cake. They had so much more to try. We were back on board by 1:00 to enjoy some shipboard activities.

But if you want a flawless, high-value, and genuinely authentic Italian experience managed by a true professional, you need to book with Umberto at Discovery Salerno. I am a professional travel advisor, and I always vet local suppliers incognito—never asking for discounts and never revealing my profession—so I can guarantee the information I pass on to my clients is 100% accurate. My standards are exceptionally high, and Umberto exceeded every single one of them. Instead of the heavily congested Amalfi routes, we wanted a relaxed driving day to explore local towns and scenic country roads. We rented two modern manual Fiat 500s and needed a professional lead car and navigator to guide our three-driver rotation (which included a driver who was a bit rusty on a manual gearbox). Umberto handled the logistics beautifully. He arranged for a vehicle hand-off right near our cruise ship disembarkation point, took care of the administrative paperwork effortlessly, and provided the ultimate "technical escort." He shielded our convoy from local traffic, adapted to our pace perfectly, and completely bypassed the typical tourist traps. Thanks to him, we enjoyed an authentic driving day complete with stops at wonderful, relaxed local spots for gelato and lunch. We intentionally booked directly with Umberto to ensure a seamless connection and support an independent local business. Whether you are a car enthusiast looking for a unique driving experience or a cruise passenger wanting to see the authentic side of the region without the stress of a big tour group, Discovery Salerno is the gold standard.
