Caserta is best known all over the world for its royal Palace one of the largest buildings in Italy, an expression of Italian baroque designed by the famous architect Luigi Vanvitelli from 1752 to 1774 at the request of the King of Naples Charles of Borbon who wanted his palace royal like the palace of Versailles. In 1997 it was designed UNESCO World Heritage Site, together with the aqueduct of Vanvitelli and the San Leucio complex.
The tour includes a visit to the royal palace (it is possible to request the guide service separately) and to the park gardens with the famous fountains and the Great Waterfall.
